Abstract

The UMTS standard extension high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA) represents a particular challenge for the radio frequency (RF)-receiver design. The influence and the limitations of the RF-impairments are of particular interest. The implemented simulation chain in this paper is focused on the dependence of the HSDPA-single link throughput (TP) performance from RF-impairments I/Q-phase and amplitude imbalance, DC-offset, noise figure (NF) and phase noise. The modeling of the impairments and their effects in terms of TP performance for user equipment (UE) capability class 6 will be presented
