Abstract

The rapid growth of the electronics industry has brought about significant environmental challenges, including
electronic waste and carbon emissions. To reduce the environmental impact, innovative sensing technologies are
being explored. Laser-induced graphene (LIG) has emerged as a promising sensor fabrication technology, due to its
unique properties and energy-efficient manufacturing process. This work focuses on developing a humidity sensor
using wood and LIG under ambient laboratory conditions, aiming for a fully biodegradable sensor. An interdigital
electrode design was chosen to implement the sensor and tested over a wide range of relative humidity values.
