Abstract

For multiple applications ranging from smart system integrations to improving driving dynamics in modern automobiles the knowledge of the wheel speed is crucible. To obtain the wheel speed information state of the art systems are based on magnetic sensors due to the fact that they are robust, precise and highly cost-efficient. However, for improved precision higher frequencies in the range of 10kHz to 100kHz are necessary which is the regime where eddy currents that develop in surrounding parts begin to distort the measurements.
