Abstract

At the moment, the population's need for a healthcare system is in rapid growth. As the demand grows, so does the need for solutions that enable healthcare providers the possibility to provide services more quickly and efficiently, and for patients to take an active role in the treatment process, to better understand their state of health and to manage their data. A possible solution in this situation could be the creation of a platform that would offer medical institutions the ability to create the service they need, based on pre-designed modules that allow patients, doctors and other services to interact with the data stored within the platform. With such platform, most of the time and required financial costs can be significantly reduced, since there will be no need to create a new product from scratch. In this paper, we review existing healthcare solutions and propose an architecture design for developing a PaaS software for the healthcare industry.
