Research interests

My academic background is in electrical engineering specialized in Microsystems Technology. The main topics during my studies are the following:

  • Front-end and back-end silicon technologies
  • Electronics (fundamentals, design, simulation and manufacturing)
  • Thermomechanical FEM simulation (ANSYS)
  • Fundamentals and characterization of electromagnetic wave transmission

During my studies I worked as a student assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration. There I focused on the topic of printed electronics including the fabrication of an inkjet printed UV sensor as well as an enzymatic biosensor for the detection of glucose in incontinence products.

Currently I am working on my PhD thesis in cooperation with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. The topic hereby is electrohydrodynamic printing of functional structures for packaging applications.
