Research interests

Jiapeng Xu received his M.S. degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2023. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the Technical University of Munich within the Professorship of Microsensors and Actuators, while simultaneously serving as a Junior Scientist at Silicon Austria Labs. His research focuses on piezoelectric microsystems, with a strong emphasis on piezoelectric micromachined ultrasonic transducers (PMUTs) and piezoelectric microphones. His core expertise bridges Artificial Intelligence and MEMS technology, specifically leveraging physics-informed and data-driven machine learning for physical modeling, structural optimization, fabrication, and application development. He holds several patents and has authored or co-authored over 15 publications in leading journals and top-tier conferences.
